The IME Department, including the affiliated Strascheg Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SIIE), comprises two senior professors, two assistant professors, two honorary professors, and currently over 40 members of staff, and is one of the largest research institutions in the field of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship in Germany.
In a total of four divisions and together with our collaboration partners from science and practice, our researchers conduct research into the conditions, structures, and processes essential for entrepreneurship and successful innovation.
Basic research builds the scientific foundation of our work, yet at the same time we consistently ensure that our research findings are application-led. To this end, we cooperate with and maintain an extensive regional, national, and international network of partners from practice and research. In addition, we actively disseminate our research findings in the scientific community and business practice.
Other Department offerings also include:
- a wide range of courses in the Bachelor's and Master's programmes,
- the lecture series "Innovation & the Future – talking with experts" and "Aviation Management – current challenges and trends" that serve as an interface between science and practice,
- the House of Ventures as a place to go for entrepreneurial students and young entrepreneurs
- the Executive Education open-enrolment programmes "Innovation Management", "Strategic Corporate Planning", "Operational Planning & Budgeting", "EBS MBI Compact Study Programme Management Control", and the Master in Business Innovation (MBI) leading to the qualification "M.A.", as well as a number of customized corporate programmes.
