Randy I. Anderson promovierte 1996 an der University of Alabama im Bereich Finance und wurde anschließend zum Assistant Professor of Finance and Real Estate an der Samford University, the University of Louisiana-Monroe, and Grambling State University ernannt, wo er Studierende in den Gebieten Immobilienwirtschaftslehre, Finanzierung, Risiko und Versicherung, Statistik und Ökonomie unterrichtete. Seit 2008 ist er Professor für Immobilienwirtschaftslehre an der University of Central Florida. Dr. Anderson erhielt den NAIOP Research Grant 2009-2010 und das "Homer Hoyt Fellow" Stipendiat 2009.  Er ist Co-Editor des "Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management" und veröffentlichte zahlreiche Paper unter anderem im "Journal of Housing Research", "International Journal of Management" und dem "Journal of Real Estate Research". Anderson hat zwei Kinder und lebt in Orlando, Florida.
