Research at the Department of Strategy, Organization & Leadership (SOL) highlights a wide variety of questions regarding the operation, running and leading of companies in general. In close cooperation with working businesses and international research contacts the tackled topics range from Organizational Behavior, Services Management, Business Consulting and Strategies to the extent of Business Ethics, Logic and Cognition Science.

Current research projects focus mainly on: Strategy and Structure of Professional Service Firms, Corporate Governance and Allocation of Government Rights, Institutional Approaches to Family Businesses, Sucession in Family Firms and the Influence of Psychological Safety, Facilitation of Creativity and Innovation in Organization, Social Exchange Theory and the Understanding of Attitudes and Behavior in Family and Non-Family Firms, Evolution of Capabilities for Global Service Delivery, Serializing Exploration and Exploitation for Capability Development, Business Ethics and “Seeing What is Good”, Handling Contradictions, Multi-Level Causalities.
