Research Fields and Projects

The vast array of research activities undertaken in the IME Department constitutes the basis for excellent teaching and continuing education offerings. Contract research, doctoral and postdoctoral projects continuously generate new, cutting-edge findings that are disseminated among both practitioners and academics.

The close cooperation with our corporate partners, associations and institutions ensures the practical relevance of our research projects. Research is thus not an end in itself but supports and enhances corporate and innovative action.

In addition to cooperating with partners from business practice, the Department also collaborates with numerous academic institutions holding, for instance, joint colloquia with other university chairs to share the latest research findings.

IME offers young researchers exciting opportunities: Our doctoral students are integrated in the doctoral studies programme at European Business School; IME faculty play a significant role in promoting publication activity; we encourage participation in international conferences with the opportunity to share knowledge and experience with top-class researchers. These are just a few of the highlights that make our Department attractive for young researchers.

Research finding are published as monographs, as articles in edited volumes, or in journals. In addition, professors in the Department not only edit several respected journals, but also publish three book series of their own (e.g. the series Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship).
