Nico B. Rottke

Professor Dr. Nico B. Rottke is founder and executive director of the Real Estate Management Institute (REMI) of European Business School. He holds the Aareal Endowed Chair of Real Estate Investment and Finance and ministers as academic director real estate related programs at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level. Prior to his teaching and research activities he worked in the real estate industry in the area of high-yield investment. Nico Rottke is author of various journal publications, book articles and dictionary entries with research focus on real estate investment, –finance and –sustainability. He is editor of the handbooks on “Real Estate Cycles”, “Real Estate Private Equity” and “Real Estate Capital Markets”, as well as of the ongoing academic Ph.D.-series “series of real estate research”. In 2004, his study “investments with real estate private equity” was honored with the research award by the German Society of Property Researchers.
Nico Rottke is active in the Executive Committee of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Germany and in the management board of the Institute of the German Real Estate Industry (iddiw). Furthermore, he is engaged as a ‘professional member’ (MRICS) of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and as a member of the research group of the real estate energy management initiative ENRESO 2020.
