Postdoctoral Programme

Qualified candidates and assistant professors can join our postdoctoral programme, the so-called Habilitation process according to German law. As the criteria for obtaining the Habilitation center largely on the candidates' track record in publishing high-quality research, the Habilitation degree bears similarities with the tenure decision at many international universities. However, candidates who have undertaken a Habilitation are not automatically offered a full professorial position.

EBS awards the Habilitation degree on the basis of a track record of successful publications in internationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals. In addition, candidates for the Habilitation degree are required to show evidence of their ability to provide effective teaching. So far, the following applicants have completed the Habilitation programme successfully:
