Postdoctoral Programme
Qualified candidates and assistant professors can join our postdoctoral programme, the so-called Habilitation process according to German law. As the criteria for obtaining the Habilitation center largely on the candidates' track record in publishing high-quality research, the Habilitation degree bears similarities with the tenure decision at many international universities. However, candidates who have undertaken a Habilitation are not automatically offered a full professorial position.
EBS awards the Habilitation degree on the basis of a track record of successful publications in internationally recognized, peer-reviewed journals. In addition, candidates for the Habilitation degree are required to show evidence of their ability to provide effective teaching.
