Competence Center for Technology Management
The "Competence Center for Technology Management (CCTM)" meets the urgent challenge of companies to design the forthcoming transformational change proactively in order to remain competitive in research, teaching, executive education and scientifically orientated consulting. In the focus of attention are the changing market conditions, emerging new markets, new and rapidly evolving technologies and the need to develop the areas of structure, procedure, and culture.
More and more companies are coming to believe that an incremental improvement of the existing product range alone is no longer sufficient, but rather either new competencies must be build up or existing competencies to elaborate new applications must be developed. What has previously led a lot of companies to success, namely, established processes, structures and organizational elements, in an environment characterized by transformation often turns out to be obstructive.
In demand are new structural, processual and organizational approaches on the one hand, but also a new "type" of employee. Entrepreneurial thinking and action is required to deal with the new, with risk and with the unknown, with errors. Openness to failure and flexibility is suddenly more important than the replicability of the status quo and solid processes. A corporate culture needs to be created, that not only accompanies the challenges of transformational change, but also supports it. This includes the qualifications of the staff and management. A new definition of innovation and technology management is needed!
Through our applied research services, we ensure top-class teaching. This influences selected programs and modules of courses of study of EBS Business School and other prestigious universities. We also make the knowledge, generated through our research projects, available to our corporate partners through our open enrollment programs and numerous company-specific programs. With our "Corporate Innovation and Technology Academy" we have developed a holistic approach with which successful companies can ensure the qualification of their employees and their management, with a view to transformational change.
Beyond teaching and research, the CCTM has established itself as a sought partner of successful, innovative companies. In numerous science-based consulting projects, CCTM has accompanied companies on their way of transformational change and made them more professional. Our annual working groups focus on urgent challenges of innovation and technology management and develop practical solutions for their partners.
In research, teaching, executive education and consulting, CCTM is supported by numerous professors, lecturers and experts from home and abroad, and by three prestigious universities, CEIBS (China Europe International Business School, Shanghai), SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai and the Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP) at Stanford University.
